Zen Premium Tea began in 2022 with a simple idea: to share the calming ritual of matcha with friends. What started as a passion for mindful living and Japanese matcha soon became a mission.
We source directly from tea farms in Yame, Japan — a region known for producing matcha with a smooth, nutty richness and a natural floral sweetness.
At the time, Yame matcha wasn’t widely known in North America. But we believed in its quality — and so did our early customers.

From a small Etsy store and local pickups in Vancouver, Canada, our community grew through word of mouth. Customers shared their love, friends became fans and what began as a niche offering turned into a trusted daily ritual for many.
